Give your special event its own special setting. The Joliet Area Historical Museum is an exceptional location for your meetings, parties, receptions and other special events. All JAHM rental facilities are handicapped accessible to every floor. Each rental allows for your guests to roam the galleries at their leisure while enjoying the customizable spaces throughout the museum.
Spacious modern glass enclosed space with terrazzo floor accommodates up to 125 people (60 with round tables) for cocktail / hors d’oeuvres receptions. Opens to an outside fountain garden, weather permitting. Available for rental before or after museum operating hours only.
Tiled terrace features views of historic downtown Joliet . Terrace is partially covered by a roof to protect guests from elements. Ideal for a cocktail/hors d’oeuvres reception style event for up to 250 people, 200 with rounds. The Rooftop Terrance is available May 1 through October 15, weather permitting.
The auditorium in lower level of museum accommodates 225 people theatre style, 200 with rounds, and includes 320 sq. ft. stage and pantry area. The space features barn wood from a previously standing barn in Joliet, which was conserved and recycled to be used in our space. A limestone feature wall highlights the stage at the far end of the auditorium. Both men and womens bathrooms are located on this level to be used during the event.
Resource and Discovery Room located on the second floor of the museum galleries accommodates up to 40 theatre style or 25 conferance style. This space works as a Corporate Meeting Space with a presentation style TV, conference phone abilities and full functional sink area. May be used for small office parties or small cocktail space for any event.
